KDF® Process Media Forms

Kymera International offers two KDF® product lines of its distinctive, high-purity, granulated water filter media: KDF® 55 Process Medium and KDF® 85 Process Medium, each with various mesh sizes available.

  • KDF® 55 Medium Designed specifically for removing or reducing chlorine and water-soluble heavy metals. It controls scale, bacteria and algae, even in hot water. The process medium received NSF International Certification and is certified by NSF to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 – Drinking Water Treatment Units – Aesthetic Effects. This medium is also in compliance with California’s Health and Safety Code Section 166875 (or commonly know as AB1953) and Vermont Act 193.
  • KDF® 85 Medium Removes or reduces iron and hydrogen sulfide from well water or other water supplies while also controlling scale, bacteria and algae. The process medium received NSF International Certification and is certified by NSF to NSF/ANSI/CAN Standard 61 – Drinking Water System Components – Health Effects.

  • KDF®-XF (Extra-Fine Mesh) Designed for specialty applications where the greatest surface area is required.
  • KDF®-F (Fine Mesh) Ideal for use in carbon blocks and other matrix-type filters.
  • KDF®-C (Coarse Mesh) Ideal for use when less pressure drop is required.
